General Meeting to form VINASA was organized with 55 initial members.

VINASA is recognized as an official member of Asian – Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) and World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).

November 2002

VINASA is recognized as a member of the National Steering Committee for Information Technology.

April 2003 

VINASA organized the first Sao Khue Award program.

November 2003 

VINASA hosted ASOCIO Summit 2003, which attracted more than 700 representatives from 30 nations.

 VINASA formed Vietnam Japan Club (VJC).

2004

VINASA organized a business mission trip to Japan, USA and European countries.

2005

VINASA’s second General Meeting was organized with 105 members.

September 2005 

Published “Introduction to Vietnam Software Industry” in Vietnamese and English.

December 2005 

Opened branch office in HCMC.

April 2006

Organized dialogues between Bill Gates and Vietnam ICT companies.

 Organized Vietgames tournament for the first time.

2007

Formed Vietnam Games and Digital Content Club (VGB)

March 2008

Formed Vietnam Human Resource Development Center (HRDC).

Formed Digital Life Magazine.

June 2008

Signed and commenced the project of “Enhancement of VINASA capability”, funded by Denmark Embassy.

March 2009

VINASA cooperating with IDC Vietnam conducted  a survey and report on “Landscape of Vietnam Software Industry”.

VINASA was invited to join WITFOR 2009 as an organizer.

2010

IT4U Exhibition was held in Hanoi and HCMC for the first time.

 Reached 200 members.

April 2010

Formed Policy Consulting and Software Industry Development Committee.

2011

Organized the first Vietnam ICT Summit in Hanoi.

 Presented Digital magazine online (www.nss.vn).

 Presented VINASA Ranking System.

 Renamed to “Vietnam Software and IT Services Association”.
