12AM of 12/05/2009, the delegation of 15 Vienam ICT companies participating the 18th Software Development Expo (SODEC) 2009 at Tokyo Bog Sight, Tokyo, Japan received the position at Vietnam IT Outsourcing Pavilion and prepared for the activities during 13 – 15/05/2009. Thanks to the useful supports of SODEC Organization, Vietnam delegation found no difficulties at the exhibition.

10Am of 13/05, SODEC 2009 was officially opened. The Organizer sent the best wishes to all organizations and companies exhibitors.

At the International Exhibition Center of Japan (Tokyo Big Sight), where SODEC and 8 other specific exhibitions were organized at the same time, all booths were full. However, due to the crisis economy time, not many booths have the special design, but mostly in standard style. The amount of visitors at the first day was not as crowded as the years before. In according to the experiences of Japanese, the visitor amount would not changed very much during three days of the events

15 Vietnam ICT companies (FPT, Run System, Luvina, CMC, Tri-vision, VietSoftware International, Pythis, NCS, IACP, HPT, iNet, VINICorp, Luxoft, VDC) share the Pavilion area of 4 booths at East Hall 16 - 16, which was specially designed with the national flag and the bold message “Vietnam IT Outsourcing” attached the attention of many customers. During the opening morning, many companies such as FPT, Tri-Vision, CMC, Luxoft, Luvina, VINICorp, Runsystem, iNet, NCS, etc. had meetings with many customers at the matching tables of the Vietnam IT Outsourcing Pavilion. Vietnam companies tried the best to show their capabilities to do the Outsourcing with the foreign, especially Japanese partners. 

In the afternoon of 13/05, the visitor increased, Vietnam companies had a busy time with many customers. The companies take advantage of all matching table to work with the customers. At the end of the first day, all companies found the clear attention of the customers, in which there were big name of Japanese partners such as Toshiba, Hitachi, etc.

In 14/05, although Tokyo Big Sight opened at 10AM, there were many visitor registered at the gate from 9:30.

At Vietnam IT Outsourcing Pavilion, companies continued working with customers. However, the discussion time was quite short because the companies concentrated to prepare for the seminar “Vietnam – Your Best Long-Term Partnership”.

11:30AM, at the seminar room of East Hall 1, with the strong supports of JETRO and JISA, the seminar of Vietnamese companies was participated with around 50 Japanese companies, who filled up all the space of the room. Mr. Le Quang Luong, the Director of Luvina was the representative for Vietnam delegation to introduce about Vietnam IT Outsourcing Situation.
After the overview introduction, all companies showed their abilities and the objectives for this business trip in Japan.

Especially, mostly companies had Japanese speaking person to present at the seminar, in particularly, Tri-vision and NCS were represented by Japanese staff to introduce about their companies.

At the end of the seminar, JETRO and JISA evaluated that it was an effective and meaningful activities to create and find the partnership.

After that, at Vietnam IT Outsourcing Pavilion, Ms. Junko Kawauchi, JISA representative introduced about Japanese IT situation to Vietnam ICT companies to share the common view and prepare for the cooperation in the coming time.

During 3 days presented at SODEC 2009, the impressive designed “Vietnam IT Outsourcing” Pavilion always attached many customers to discuss and finding cooperation opportunities. At the end of the event, Vietnam IT companies met more than 500 customers, many in them was potential partners for Vietnam IT companies for the future cooperation.
