ZCOCO Introduction

ZCOCO is a community for corporations that provide open source software services. We believe that ZCOCO both
gives the open source developers an opportunity to benefit from their talent and work, and also allows companies
that use open source software in their products to easily access the best Open Source software talent in the world.
What makes ZCOCO different?
The open source way of working: Nomovok Ltd. has internally used ZCOCO approach for seven years, and in more
than 400 projects. Through this experience our team has learned how to manage commercial projects in an open
source way. As a result, working in distributed organisation, including experts in far-away countries, is business as
usual for us.
In-depth understanding of open source community: after extensive experience of working with various open source
projects, our team has gained a deep understanding of the open source community mindset. This enables us to
create solutions that are acceptable for open source community, and will be maintained by it.
Knowing who is who in open source world: our team has an extensive network in open source community. This
makes it easy for us to find the best developers for any given open source technology.
What is the benefit of ZCOCO for me?
Project success as result of using the best talent:
• without good contact network and deep understanding of open source community it is very difficult to find
the best open source developers
• without proven distributed organisation model it is either impossible to use open source developers, when
they are not willing to relocate, or it can be cost-prohibitive due to relocation costs
• lower maintenance costs coming from co-operation with the open source community
• a project can be planned from beginning so that it is in-line with open source community drivers. This

How does it work?
All the partners work equally through ZCOCO, all partners can be managed and benchmarked in a similar way. All
the companies can work individually or together. ZCOCO as the tool is a multi-company platform for distributed
supplier and partner management. It connects projects and experts, globally.
ZCOCO in Vietnam
With our experience and knowledge, we believe ZCOCO can fit the purpose of the Innovation Partnership
Programme (IPP) which is to help Vietnamese ICT companies to find Finnish customers, as well as the purpose of
VINASA which is to promote co-operation and mutual support among VINASA members; and that ZCOCO can be
an efficient platform to support Vietnamese ICT companies to deliver bigger and better projects to Finnish
customers.
